Thanks for the Love...

*I originally wrote this on March 1st. Things happened, and I took it down, along with pretty much everything else. But I really think this needs to be said. And I want it publicly known.

First of all, thanks to those who came out of hiding and wished me a happy birthday. :) Way back in the day, I used to have Karly make a "Happy Birthday" post on an old message board so that I could revel in the well wishes. Yeah, I like to pimp out my birthday as much as possible and incorporate as many people I can in my quest for people to show me that they love me. Is that wrong?

So. Today is my wedding anniversary. Some would say that we didn't plan this very well. To them I can just say, Hello! We didn't plan it. It just sort of happened when it did because that's the way things fell into place. I wouldn't change a thing. On the bright side, every four years there is one whole day between my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Not everyone can say that, can they?

Four years ago, underneath a gorgeous white gazebo, overlooking the Carribbean Ocean, in front of our closest family, Dr Pop and I said, "I do" to each other. It was beautiful. I then got into the swimming pool up to my knees with my dress hiked up so that it wouldn't get wet. I also walked barefoot around the resort and stuffed myself with popcorn and Diet Coke. It was AWESOME.

Four years later, and I feel like we've run the gamut of stress. From money issues, to almost immediate parenthood, to a new house, to various and numerous outside and internalized struggles, we have somehow figured out how to live together. We are man and wife. We are Mommy and Daddy. We are IN LOVE with each other.

And best of all? We actually LIKE each other more than we don't like each other. And really, the loving is easy. But being in like with each other day in and day out? That's the hard part.

So here's to the four years that have passed, to the forty or more to come, and to falling more and more in like every day.

Happy Anniversary, Dr Pop! I fall more in like with you every day.

And I love you more every day, too. :)
