Whew!

Today we got the Christmas lights put on the house. And the local brain trust here at the Pop residence did not think to test the lights before putting them on the house. So we had to go back around the house and replace about 30 burned out bulbs. FUN!

But the house looks great! Tomorrow we do the fence line and yard. Yes, it is November 19th and Thanksgiving has not happened yet. But we wanted to take advantage of our time off to get it done and have the house look great for company. :)

There's nothing like the look of delight on a child's face when he sees those lights up on the house, either. I'm so glad we do this so that he can experience the wonderment. We didn't put lights on our house when I was growing up until I was about 14.
