I wonder what I've gotten myself into. I'm not one for seemingly impossible commitments, but it was almost like an outside being took over control of my fingers and typed my url into the comments section over at fussy.org. Then, in what I must now refer to as an inspired fit of "what the hell was I thinking?" I went to http://www.nanowrimo.org/ and again began rapidly filling out the online form. I clicked the submit button and in the space of 10 minutes, I had committed to a massive amount of writing.
So here I am. It is day one and I'm ready to roll. I decided to plan a bit ahead on both writing fronts in deference to the Thanksgiving holiday that is rapidly approaching. Is it really any wonder why both families consented to give this particular holiday to Dr Pop and me? Doubtful. After all, who really wants to do all that cooking and serving and cleaning up afterwards? At least I get the leftovers! Ha!
Does anyone know a good recipe for sweet potatoes? Pumpkin pie? Cranberry sauce? I have been trying out all sorts of recipes lately. Maybe one will stick.
