Ma'am

I was listening to the radio this morning and a bunch of women were calling in saying that they hated to be called "ma'am" by anyone... Said it made them feel old. These ladies were my age (or at least in my age range) and said that it was rude.

I got to thinking about it, and I call women "ma'am" all the time. Young, old, or in the middle... It's a southern thing. I say, "Yes, Ma'am" the same way I would say "Please" or "Thank you." These women need to get over it... And if they are that concerned about people thinking they are old, perhaps a microdermabrasion or chemical peel is in order!
