2 Days

For the past two or so months, during a wasteland of television broadcasting, a lot of my friends and acquaintences were counting the days until football season started. Not me, though. I was counting the days until my baby started school. And I was pleading with the universe to slow down, stop, stand still for a damned minute because I was not at all ready to let go of summer. Of the free time. Of being laid back. Of losing my baby to his childhood.

Then, the inevitable happened. Time kept moving. Faster and faster, the days approached. July 1. August 1. August 25.*

The day before school started, Dr. Pop, Boy Pop, and I made our annual pilgrimmage to the UT Co-op for new game-day gear. I wasn't able to find anything on that trip, mainly because I just wasn't ready. I wasn't "there" yet. Once school started on August 25th, after 60+ days of 100 degree temperatures during the season, the weather cooled off a little. One day this past week, it barely hit 90! It felt positively fall-like! And I liked it!

So I went back to my old favorite football message board... The Longhorn Mafia Fan Zone (http://www.lmfanzone.com/). I clicked on "The 2009 Countdown to Kickoff" thread. I started getting pumped up. I returned to the Co-op. Still didn't find anything to wear, though. Oh well.

Then, this morning, I read the first of many articles that my friend, HornMafia, writes before the football games. Now tell me, how can you NOT get excited as a football fan? I present to you The Week That Will Be. My Longhorn fan friends will "get" this. And if you don't get the excitement surrounding college football? That's okay. But I feel a tiny bit sorry for you! ;)

On Saturday, Dr Pop and I will head down to the University of Texas Darrel K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium to attend opening day. We will be a part of the largest-ever crowd to watch a football game in the state of Texas. Maybe we'll see y'all there.
But just in case, I leave you with this... Filmed by me, before the UT vs. Missouri game last year.

It's So Good To Be Home...

So good, in fact, that Dr Pop and I are already planning our next adventure!

This time, we will be taking Boy Pop with us, though.

Vegas was incredible, as was Mexico. I'll have pictures, soon, I promise!

Boy Pop's ankle is healing. He has two more weeks in the cast (a pediatric orthopedic surgeon confirmed a break and extended the cast time), but that hasn't slowed him down ONE BIT. We are constantly reminding him to not run. He will be getting his orange belt (the ATA "Tiny Tiger" orange belt) at the end of the month and had his first t-ball scrimmage yesterday. He played catcher for one inning and left field the other two. And he hit the snot out of the ball!

What was especially cute yesterday, though, was the fact that he had his own pinch runner.

I'm so far not too much of a fan of the moms, though. There are less than a handful who deign to speak to me. Maybe it's because we missed the first practices and no one knows us yet. I'm not sure. But I did not enjoy my interactions with them yesterday evening. Not one little bit! I'm sure it will get better though.

I have a ton of pictures to download and upload. And a ton of work that I'm just now getting caught up on (that's what happens when you are gone for the better part of two weeks, I suppose).

When things settle down, I'll write a nice and proper post. Promise!

The Post About Football and Thanksgiving

Hanging out in a tree, in the tailgate parking lot last Thursday

Well. Hmm... I don't think many of you give two figs about college football. Bear with me. You know I love my Longhorns!

For the first time since 1993, the University of Texas and Texas A&M university met on Thanksgiving Day to play a little football (A&M got a little bitty NCAA TV probation in 1994, so Texas played Baylor in 94 and 95 on T-Day. In 1996, after the formation of the Big 12, the game moved to the day after Thanksgiving). Naturally, this new scheduling, while really awesome, did create some conundrum around the actual meal of the day.

Thanksgiving is "our" holiday. It is the one where we don't travel, but instead force everyone to come to us. Having the only grandchild in both families sort of facilitates this. You'd think we'd get Christmas, too, but you will never see me letting my grandmother down. So we travel to her house for Christmas.

Anyway. Where was I? Oh yes, football quandry.

This year, we decided to have our Thanksgiving lunch a bit early so that we could spend plenty of time at our tailgate (which, as luck would have it, also included a completely catered Thanksgiving meal -- Imagine, deep fried fresh turkey tenders! Regular turkey! All the sides! Dessert! Wine! And, of course, beer!). I cooked. Since Thanksgiving is our holiday, I get to own the cooking and baking. It's my favorite thing! I do leave the turkey to the experts, though, and this year, we got a smoked turkey from Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q.

I had set a time to eat for 11 AM, which was met by a bit of shock by some, but everyone arrived on time. Unfortunately, the food wasn't ready until noon. Oh well. That's what I get for planning, eh?

Here is what I made:

  • Stuffing
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Crispy pan-fried sweet potatoes (using Renaissance Rub... SO yummy!)
  • Green bean casserole
  • Homemade cranberry sauce
  • Garden salad
  • Rolls
  • This incredible chocolate cake

My mom made her usual strawberry jello salad. My brother brought a key lime pie from Houston's. My mother in law brought a pumpkin cheesecake and a large box of clementines.

There wasn't much left over. :)

Once the dishes had been washed, the counters cleared, and the kitchen looked like nothing had occurred there over the past 6 hours, we hightailed it down to the tailgate. A few Dos Equis (es?) later, we were ready for some football!

The Longhorns took care of business on Thursday night. We beat our in-state rivals by 40 points, taking out our anger over the results of the past two meetings on them in decisive fashion.

Unfortunately, what we did was not enough. Our coach, bless his heart, is a sportsman. And a good sport. In the fourth quarter, with the game well in hand, he removed our starters, and allowed the second team to play. If we had run up the score a little bit more, we just might have kept our #2 ranking and would be playing this coming weekend in the Big 12 Championship game. That is not the case, however, and the Big 12, in its infinite wisdom, allowed the polls to determine who the representative for the South would be. It is not us.

I'm not going to go on and on about the fairness of it all. The truth of the matter is that Texas should not have been in this situation. We should have beaten Texas Tech on November 1. And the pollsters look at the score. And who runs up the score the most. Oh well, here's to The University of Oklahoma once again having an embarassing showing in their BCS bowl game, most likely the title game (which is their probable next game, unless Missouri can pull an upset, but that's as likely as me having a White Christmas in Central Texas).

Bitter? Me? Nah...

All-in-all, Thanksgiving Day was everything I could have hoped for. Good food, family, friends, football, and a little booze for good measure.

I Bleed Burnt Orange

This Saturday, ESPN College Game Day will go where it has never gone before. Namely, to Lubbock, Texas to broadcast what will most likely be a good old-fashioned Texas-style shootout between The University of Texas Longhorns and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Both teams are undefeated up to this point in the football season. One team is undefeated because they beat #1 Oklahoma, #11 Missouri, and #6 Oklahoma State. One team isn't undefeated because of those wins, but still hasn't lost. In fact, though improbable and unlikely on paper, they could walk out of that small stadium in Lubbock, ecstatic over knocking off the #1 team in the nation.

Have I mentioned that I love Longhorn football? Dr Pop and I returned to being season ticket holders this year, and the investment has been well worth it so far. We've attended all but two home games (had to miss one because we were in VEGAS (baby!) and one because it conflicted with Boy Pop's birthday festivities).

This year we are tailgating with a new crowd and it has been spectacularly fun. We kicked it off with ice luge shots and have been going strong ever since! I can tell you this, if you are ever in Austin during football season, you need to come see us. We have beer sponsorships, live music, and some of the best barbecue in the area. Not to mention that the group is fun, too! In fact, our friends actually attended the Game Day broadcast earlier this month and let us play with their hard hats!

But enough about how much fun this season has been... And make no mistake, it has been crazy wild. It will truly be for nothing should our little brothers up in the panhandle get lucky.

Remember. The Eyes of Texas are Upon YOU. 'Til Gabriel blows his horn.

Every now and then, I ask myself the age old question, "What if...?" There are lots of "what ifs?" that anyone can ask about the choices they make. With respect to the college I atteneded, I have a few... What if I had gone with the popluar school choices of my high school classmates? What if I'd spread my wings beyond the borders of Texas and gone somewhere like NYU? What would my life be like had I not followed my gut and my heart and gone anywhere else but Texas for college?
And you know what? I really do not want to know. Where I am now in my life, the people who are with me, my husband, my child, my friends... It all traces back to TEXAS (the state AND the university). *
}}}}} HOOK 'EM BABY! {{{{{
*Had I not gone to The University of Texas, I might not have moved to Austin. Had I not moved to Austin, I might not have fallen in love with the city. Had I not fallen in love with the city, I might not have siezed an opportunity to move back here. Had that not happened, I probably would not have met Dr Pop. And on, and on, and on...

Reveling A Little

You see, my beloved Horns are #1 for the second week in a row and #1 in the BCS. There is a long and tough road ahead, but for now, for today, I am reveling in the fact that my Longhorns are playing better football than any other team in the nation. They are a better team than the one which played and won the National Championship in 2005 right now.
The game this past Saturday night was not only the loudest football game I've ever attended (and I've been to quite a few in my years), but it was also the home of the largest crowd to ever attend a football game (high school, college, or pro) in the state of Texas. I have pictures. I will post them just as soon as I get my lazy ass to download them.

Itty Bitty Soccer and Weekend Highlights

First let me type this little disclaimer: I know that there are a lot of opinions out there about keeping score and self-esteem and teamwork, etc. For the record, I think it is fantastic that teams for three and four year olds do not keep score. First, a child must learn fundamentals, teamwork, and that not everyone can kick a damn ball at the same time. Once they have that down, THEN we can start keeping score and being competitive. But Boy Pop's team won on Saturday. Hey, just because there is no "official" scorekeeper doesn't mean that I didn't... Okay... I may have been too busy taking pictures... But the coach did.

So. First soccer game on Saturday. Everyone got to play. There was a practice before the game started and it was also the first time most of the kids had ever met one another. Can you say chaos? Great job!

I was definitely impressed with how quickly they all caught on and how fast they realized that they each had a specific goal to kick towards. The other team had a little Pele in the making. Seriously!

Here are the highlights:
One goal scored by my boy.
7 goal attempts blocked after he moved to goalie.
2 collisions involving my boy.
1 black eye (Boy's).
1 set of tears (because of the black eye).
Lots of other crashes and collisions and tears by other kids.
Cold, congealed pizza purchased afterwards at the "concession stand" eaten by the three of us and no one got sick!

The remainder of Saturday was spent recovering and then eating Mexican food.

Sunday, though? Oh Sunday, you were so beautiful! The first hibiscus bloom of the season showed and it was just beautiful! We went to breakfast, then to the plant store to buy another hibiscus bush to replace one that passed away over the winter (We lost one despite dragging them inside every time it got below 40 degrees... Maybe we should have watered them more... Hmmm...). We went home and looked at playscapes online and debated buying one. We went to a local cave* and toured it. We had barbecue on Lake Austin. Good day. Excellent day. Gorgeous and perfect day!

*Round these parts, we have several large, prehistoric, cavernous caves. I believe our tour guide told us that there are 55 such caves in all of Texas, 5 are open to the public, and of those 5? 4 are in our neck of the woods. This was my first visit to the caves up the road and it was an experience to treasure.

We took a little trolley down, then got off and started walking through. We learned some of the history, how it was discovered, etc. The experience was made even better due to recent rains. There are these stones, called "flow stones," and they are what their name implies... A conduit for water. Some of the cleanest water you'll find anywhere is in that cave. Words and pictures cannot do it justice and I'm so glad that we all go to experience it together.

In fact, the weekend was a good one... Dr Pop and I got a sitter and got out of the house on Friday night. We had fun. I may have passed out a bit too early. Oh what am I saying? I *always* pass out too early. I'm a lightweight.

I do have some great photos of the weekend, and as usual, will put a few up once I get around to downloading them. I will probably have plenty of time to do that this week, though, as Dr Pop is going to be gone all week starting tomorrow. I think it's well documented how I feel about that. Hate. With. A. Firey. Passion. And we're not even behind on laundry so I'm not sure how I'll fill those hours...

Speaking of laundry... I've got quite the story...

Back to the Grind

This is probably my favorite picture of Boy Pop. He's taking a practice swing here.

Here, he's getting ready for his final at-bat of the season. He hit the ball all the way to the outfield!

All the kids got participation medals at McDonald's. I don't know which part was better for him... Getting the medal or playing on the playscape.

The 17th was our last tee-ball game of the season. It was a great day and a great finish to the season. Boy Pop has really taken to the sport. Next up is probably winter soccer, but we are debating this since the games will be on cold January mornings. We might wait until spring.

I'm back at work and really wishing for a re-do of last week. We had such a lovely time during my days off and I'm not ready to be back in the land of working people. I have created a new countdown timer for the holidays. There are 28 days until Christmas Eve, people! Yikes!

As NaBloPoMo winds down, I realize that I haven't said or written nearly as much as I wanted to. That's the way it always goes, though. I didn't even list what I'm thankful for this year yet. And this whole "blessed" thing didn't work out quite the way I'd intended, either. Oh well.

In approximately nine and one half days, I'll be getting ten (count 'em, T.E.N.) whole days off of work. For those of you who don't feel like adding, I'll be on vacation during Thanksgiving week.

I am a big fan of vacations. My husband and I love to travel and we really tried to get a trip put together to go skiing that week, but sadly, not much is open yet that early. We may try to book a Vegas weekend last-minute, but if we can't? Well, that's okay. You know why? Because my second favorite thing to do with time off is stay home. I love having my days free to do whatever I want. I don't get that very often.

I always make elaborate plans for time spent at home, though. That is my problem. I create long lists of things to accomplish (those things that never seem to get done and always add up).

Here's my list for those ten days thus far:
1) Knock out the Christmas shopping.
2) Prepare Thanksgiving Dinner for between 10 and 12 people.
3) Host Thanksgiving.
4) Spend a little time with my parents and grandmother.
5) Go through Boy Pop's toys and put together a donation box.
6) Go through Boy Pop's old jackets and coats to give to Coats for Kids.
7) Go through Boy Pop's clothes and put together a donation box.
8) Go through cabinets, drawers, closets, dressers, office, etc. and what? Put together a donation box.
9) Schedule movers to move ginormous, monster TV from upstairs to downstairs and then give it away.
10) Set up new playroom area in upstairs living room.
11) Schedule cable and phone companies to come and wire current playroom so that it can become an office.
12) Pull down Christmas decorations and put up tree, decorate house.
13) Box up books to send to storage (or give away).
14) Go to storage building and decide what to do with stuff there.
15) Get a manicure and pedicure.
16) Return duplicate birthday gifts that Boy Pop received and get credits for respective stores.

Yep. Long list and I'm not done yet...

I get it, though. I may not accomplish anything but items 1 - 4 on the list and if that is all that happens, well, I'll be thankful and count myself fully blessed. I do want to clean things out and reorganize everything because I do feel better in an organized, clean, neat atmosphere. Or maybe it's the control issue rearing it's ugly head again. Meh. Who really cares?

I'm really just lucky that I didn't use up all of my vacation time, that I asked early enough, and that I get an extended period of time to remember what it was like to stay at home.

And now for a tee-ball update! With pictures!

Posing before the first game...

Some things are more interesting than the game... Like that bug, for instance...

Not Dead Yet

One of these days, namely starting November 1, I'll be updating regularly. This weekend has been tee-ball-centric, with a game on Saurday and one today. I have to agree with Sue Doe Nim, when she says If you can't have fun with 10 kids and a ball you should seek inpatient counselling.

I have perfection issues. And maybe some control issues. I have this thing about being on time. I was raised that I was always supposed to be on time. Being late was almost like a sin in my house. I was raised that if we committed to an hour of arrival, we damn well better get there by that time if not early. So here I am today, finding myself getting furious when people cannot manage to get their children to a freaking game by the time the game is supposed to start. Today, the game was to start at 1. We were supposed to get there at 12:30 to re-take the pictures. At 1:15, no photographer had arrived and we hadn't started playing yet. I felt my blood pressure rise. I can't help it. It really pisses me off because it's a respect issue in my book.

I really ought to let it go. But I can't seem to do so. And the games and practices are so much fun, too! I have a jillion pictures to upload from just a few weeks of practice and games.

I don't know the point of all of this. But I do feel better. I cannot control other people as much as I may want to. Oh well. I will say this, though. I will always strive to be ON TIME. I will not allow someone accusing me of disrespect in that manner.

And to the mommy of the little boy who head-butted me with his helmet and then punched my leg? BITE ME. You are not a good mommy. If you got off your ass and actually participated (like we are all asked to do), maybe your child wouldn't be such a bully.

As a side note, Dr Pop just asked me if I'd like to go shopping this afternoon, his treat. And I really don't feel like it. What is WRONG with me???

Living the Dream?

I signed up for NaBloPoMo again this year. 30 days of blogging in November. I'm not sure if I'll do NaNoWriMo this year or not, though. I feel like I'm overextended as it is, and I really don't want to commit to that amount of writing. Thirty blog posts in thirty days? No problem! A novel in 30 days? Problem.

I guess no one out there in blogger-land wants to play the gift game. It's not too late to sign up, though. But most of my readers don't have blogs. Oh well.

Boy Pop's second tee ball game is tomorrow morning at 8:15AM. I may have mentioned this a time or two, but this family is not one of early risers. Period. We love to stay up late and sleep in (as a side note, I'm exhausted!!!). It's just what we do. But bright and early tomorrow, we'll be getting up and getting the boy dressed in his uniform and ready to play ball. I just hope that we have the energy tomorrow after the game to actually be active. Last Saturday after the game and a big breakfast, we all just crashed and I actually slept through almost the entire Texas football game. Pathetic!

Last week, I made a great (and yet fast and simple) dinner and a gallon of tea. We had tons of leftovers. When I got up the next morning, I went to get myself a glass of tea before I started getting ready for the day and what do you know? We had forgotten to put any of it away. Everything was spoiled. Luckily it was trash day, but damn, I was disappointed. By the way, the recipe for the side dish can be found at whachagotcookin (link on the right).

I really need a vacation. Four weeks and counting...

I also would like a craft idea for Thanksgiving. Any ideas out there that will work with 4 year olds?

It has hit me recently that I watch too much television. I have all of these "favorite" shows and all of them run concurrently. Thank heavens for the DVR, but my goodness! I'm getting behind! I currently watch:
Dexter
Weeds
Californication
Kid Nation
Ghost Hunters
The Ultimate Fighter
The Contender
Survivor
Prison Break
The CBS Monday sitcoms
My Name is Earl
Kitchen Nightmares
South Park
The Fox Sunday cartoons
The Bachelor
The Biggest Loser

When they are on, I will watch:
Sunset Tan
The Girls Next Door
Hell's Kitchen
Big Brother
Amazing Race

I think I need help. Instead of "living" the dream, I'm "watching" it. Argh!

And Dr Pop is back in town!!! Hooray!

Tee Ball

Boy Pop started tee ball two weeks ago and is having a great time! So have Dr Pop and I. At this age (3 - 4), the parents are asked to take a very active role in the practices and games. We are supposed to play catch with our children, stand out with them, coach the bases, help with batting, etc. I think it is great. I wouldn't dream of expecting the coach to do it all.

Sadly, my husband and I are in the minority. As Dr Pop stood with the Boy while he was fielding (as requested), they needed someone to coach third base. I was standing with my camera, ready to get a good shot of the action, and someone's mother yelled out, "Hey, are you coaching third?" I said I would as I scanned the "audience" around me.

What I saw was entirely too frustrating for me... I saw lawn chairs filled with the butts of parents who were talking to each other, yelling across the field at their other children who were running out onto the field, and in general just socializing instead of helping their kids. It broke my heart.

We are the parents. We are supposed to be there for our children, cheering them on, helping them with their first team experiences. Why don't more parents "get" it? Are my expectations too high?

By the way, the other team did not show up, so our team played itself. It worked out well, and for two innings, each child got to bat and run the bases. I'm a firm believer in keeping score and encouraging talent, but I'm more than happy for this to be my son's first foray into team sports because at four? It isn't about the win. It's about nourishing a love for something beyond cartoons and trains.

More of what kids say...

"Mommy, can we say 'God'?"
"Yes, we can."
"Can we say 'damn'?"
"No, Booble, that is a bad word and I don't want you to say it."
"I meant Beaver dam, Mommy!"
...
What is a Mommy to do?
-----------------------------------------------------
"Mommy, I'm the luckiest boy!"
I look down at him, my heart just melting, as I ask, "You are? Why is that?"
"Because I found two of my train cars!!!"
...
He definitely got me.

Did I promise pictures from the Boy's first UT Longhorn game?

Ready to walk to the tailgate...

It was very hot!

About to walk to the stadium...

It's... Super?

Apparently Sunday's game is going to be a wet one down in Miami. Meh. Who really cares? I'm in it for the commercials anyway.

Tomorrow night is actually what I'm looking forward to... UFC 67, baby! All the winners from The Ultimate Fighter 4 will be challenging for their titles. It should be good. They should get their asses kicked, too.

My daily fortune on Excite says "You are caught up in trivia." How can a randomly-generated little sentence be so right on?

Oh, and the Groundhog didn't see his shadow... It's kind of funny, actually, the brou-ha-ha surrounding the little ole groundhog... If you look at a calendar, Spring is about six weeks from 2/2 every year. When it comes to weather predictions, though, I'd as soon trust the little rodent as I do the meteorologist. It's all a crap shoot anyhow.

BEVO!

Can YOU Take The Heat?

Football. College Football. College Football Smack. Yes. We are mid-way through the college football season and here at the office, things are heating up, rivalry-wise. You see, I live and work in the same area where I went to college. I am a die-hard University of Texas Longhorn fan. I also work with a multitude of Longhorn rivals. I don’t keep my fan-hood a secret, but I don’t flaunt it or taunt others in any way. I just can’t. I spent too much time eating my words after a disappointing loss to make that mistake again.

This philosophy, by the way, drives everyone around me crazy. All day, every day, since the opening weekend, I’ve heard nothing but smack talk about my team. My team, by the way, is ranked number two in the nation and is primed to go to the National Championship game in January, should we win the rest of our games and go undefeated. Quite a bit stands in our way still. There are still games to be played both at home and in hostile environments. Of course, we have played in the MOST hostile of places already this season and have come out of it, pardon the pun, smelling like a rose.

Am I nervous about what’s to come? Of course. Does the passing attack of Texas Tech’s Cody Hodges make me more nervous than a spider being chased by a cat? Definitely. But I have faith. I have faith in our offense. I have faith in our defense. I have faith in our secondary. I have faith in our coaches for the first time since 1998. We still have a mountain to climb, and it won’t be a piece of cake, but we are on the verge of something so special to Longhorn fans. We are on the verge of winning something that hasn’t been won since shortly after Neil Armstrong took those first steps. And I just don’t have it in me to talk smack.

Good, Bad, or UGLY, I will let the scoreboard at the end of the day on Saturday do all my talking. Whether it’s 51-3, Texas or 51-3, Texas Tech. And if it goes against us, at least I won’t have to eat any words. And should Texas end up on the right side of the points, I’ll just smile and start stressing out about the next one.

Good luck on Saturday, Horns!

Texas! Texas! YEE-HAW!

Poop, Wine, and Sports Injuries...

**You should be forewarned that this post was created after two glasses of wine... I'm just sayin'...

So, Dr. Pop just informed me, whilst watching the Braves/Astros game, that he's "seen someone throw a baseball so hard his arm has snapped." I did not know that and the idea is horrifying.

Earlier this evening, as the shaked and baked pork chops were baking, and I was doing a little kitchen/mudroom clean-up, I came to the realization that my life literally revolves around poop. Cat poop. Dog poop. Child poop. My poop. Husband poop (but we won't go there other than to say thank you to the good doc for heading upstairs and turning on the exhaust. Don't think I don't know what you're doing when you go upstairs, big guy... And don't think I don't appreciate the execution).

So anyway, I'm shoveling the clumpy clumps out of the cat box to throw into the garbage as tomorrow is trash day, and I realize that I AM POOP PATROL in my household. What I'm about to say will issue an indignant reply of "Hey, I change shit explosion diapers and change the cat litter, too!" and my automatic response is, "Sure you do, bud, but who holds the record of being in the most contact with poop over the past two years, and do you REALLY want the world poop title?"

So I am scooping cat litter, not without my proper respect for the creators of clumping litter, and I flashback to the backyard a few days ago, where I selflessly shovel huge mounds of steaming, wet (it had just rained) dog shit into a little uncooperative plastic bag so that the good doctor could continue sweating his ass off via mowing the lawn with our upgraded, but still pretty crappy, lawnmower. I live to make his life easier. Actually, I was just doing as asked and trying not to make the smell worse and the lawnmower blades stick.

Then I flashed back to Booble-dooble's latest nasty diaper. Ugh! What a disaster that one was! Sorry precious. That would have been my fault (genetics or diet, it doesn't matter... this kid is doomed). For the rest of the evening, my focus has been on nothing but shit. Both figuratively and literally. And it reminded me of a post on my former blog about poopy diapers and how there was ALWAYS one waiting for me in the morning. What a way to start the day, huh? With a diaper full of SHIT.

But the thing is, shit happens. So are you going to wipe your ass, flush, hopefully spray a little air freshner and turn on the exhaust, or are you going to sit and talk and complain about it for the rest of the day? I'd rather put it all behind me. Pun intended.
