I've made some changes in the blogs I'm going to read and be proud enough of reading to actually link to them... For the past while, I have been going to a number of sites that are well-written, but have not been inspirational to me. In fact, a lot of what I've been reading lately, I haven't been enjoying.

I think it came to a head yesterday when I was lumped into a group. Apparently I have stuck my fingers in my ears and am going "Lalalalala" as someone who is in direct violation of God (to paraphrase). Couldn't be further from the truth, but because of my political leanings, I apparently am defined as that and not a concerned and good citizen.

Thanks Dooce. 'Preciate it. I guess you've never met an open-minded conservative before. I've rarely met anything but! And let me say something else here... I've never once called anyone with political views different than mine nasty names. Do you know why? Because we are all Americans. And that bonds us. It makes us all essentially the same.

I don't think that there is an American citizen out there who does not want what is good for this country. Where we differ is in our opinions about the HOW and the WHAT.

I'm cleaning house, so to speak. I'm keeping the blogs that make me smile and canning the ones that don't.

Feels good.

I'm not so heavily entrenched in my point of view that I cannot see the other side. But I don't have to agree with it. But apparently it is okay to call people names who disagree.

I do not have to contribute to the $40K a month in ad revenue that the Armstrongs receive. So I'm done. Yeah, like that matters at all to them... After all, I'm just a "nutjob" who doesn't agree.

*Edit*
I would like to add that I am truly glad to see so many people energized and excited about the candidates in this election. And I love to read about that excitement. I have nothing but respect for those of you who disagree with me without insulting me. I equate it to a football rivalry... Build your team up without tearing down the opposing fans. And for the record, neither party has the inside track on compassion, change, hope, and love for our nation and those who live here.

if only we could get her to read your post. i was really pretty suprised that all of her comments from that post were in agreement with her. perhaps those of us on the 'other' side were too busy hitting DELETE subscription to fool with a comment...

Pitter,
She doesn't give a shit about my opinion... And if history serves as any indication, her reading my post would only cause me trouble.

I can take it, but I don't want the hassle. Her blind followers are a bit insane.

I almost emailed you after. I read her blog. She really ticked me off and I had decided not to read any more! She sounded so closed-minded!
