I wrote my last post in haste and anger (never a good combination)...
I would like to clarify that I do not believe that it is wrong for a mother to have a career. I'm a mother. I have a career.
I do, however, take extreme offense to the idea that a parent's priority should soley be that career and not their family. Our children didn't ask to be born. We created them. It is our moral obligation to love, raise, nurture, and guide them.
It is the family unit that makes or breaks a child. So if the parent is more focused on the career for the sake of that career instead of for the sake of the family, then priorities are way off base.
